With works ranging from gesturally abstract to hyper-realistic, “Flashes of Light: Cycles of Life viewed through The Maslow Collection” aims to supply the viewer with a look at life from birth to death. The exhibition takes into consideration the renowned psychologist Abraham Maslow’s seminal “Hierarchy of Needs” theory, which traces stages of life as they relate to ‘Physiological Needs, Safety and Security, Love and Belonging, Self Esteem, and Self Actualization.’ By connecting Maslow’s Hierarchy and his impact on the study of human development to work from The Maslow Collection, various psychological interpretations of each artwork become possible.

The Scouting America (Formerly Boy Scouts of America), NEPA Council First Aid Meet is a hands-on skills competition designed to test Scouts’ knowledge, teamwork, and ability to respond effectively to medical emergencies. Patrols rotate through a series of realistic first aid scenarios in a round-robin format, ensuring each team faces every challenge. This event is open to Scouts in our council, ages 10 to 17.
At each station, Scouts are presented with a simulated emergency, such as bleeding control, fractures, burns, hypothermia, heat illness, or emergency response situations. Patrols must assess the scene, demonstrate proper first aid techniques, communicate clearly, and work together under time constraints. These stations will be planned and run by students of the Marywood's Graduate PA program.
Scouts are evaluated on:
Accuracy of first aid skills
Proper use of equipment and supplies
Leadership and teamwork
Safety awareness and patient care
Ability to remain calm and organized
The round-robin format keeps the event fast-paced and engaging while giving every patrol equal opportunities to demonstrate their skills. This meet reinforces essential first aid knowledge, builds confidence, and prepares Scouts to respond effectively in real-world emergencies, all while encouraging friendly competition and Scout spirit.

The Marywood Guitar Ensemble presents The Surreal and the Folkloric: The Music and Poetry of Federico García Lorca (1898–1936), an immersive interdisciplinary concert blending guitar ensemble, spoken word, and vocal performance. Presented in collaboration with the NEPA Guitar Society and Olde Stories, the program explores Lorca’s poetic world through surreal imagery, folkloric traditions, and Spanish musical heritage. The concert features spoken-word artists Melinda Krokus and Jason Smeltzer, student vocalists from the Marywood University Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance, and a special appearance by internationally acclaimed guitarist and composer Sungmin Shin, who will perform a newly commissioned work written in homage to Ozzy Osbourne with the Marywood Guitar Ensemble. This concert highlights the ensemble’s commitment to artistic collaboration, contemporary creation, and bold interdisciplinary programming.

From 2PM, June 19th until 3PM, June 26th 2026, students enrolled in the Construct your Future Program will be actively participating in the eight – days combination of fun design projects and competitions, organized and guided by our school’s experienced faculty. Students will be exposed to several practical questions presented as part of guest lecture and workshop series and will have the opportunity to converse with construction project managers.
Construct your Future Program 2026, accepts students who will be starting their Fall ’26 academic year as rising juniors, seniors, or as high school graduates. Offered as an in-residence program, CyF_’26 will be housed in the Center for Architectural Studies, Marywood University. Students will be assigned individual desks and will have the opportunity of using the same spaces as our undergraduate and graduate students. Furthermore, students enrolled in the program will have the opportunity of seeing in action various laboratories and shops (wood / metal / 3D printing / CNC router / laser cutting / etc.).
Construct your Future Program 2026 is designed with the desire of an immersive experience, engaging students in several demonstrations anchored to the Construction Management discipline. The program has established a participation fee of $1,200, to ensure that this opportunity is affordable and accessible to all. The program fee includes:

From 2PM, June 19th until 3PM, June 26th 2026, students enrolled in the Design your Future Program will be actively participating in the eight – days combination of fun design projects and competitions, organized and guided by our school’s experienced faculty. Students will be exposed to a number of practical and theoretical questions presented as part of guest lecture and workshop series, and will have the opportunity to converse with practicing architects and designers.
Design your Future Program 2026, accepts students who will be starting their Fall ’26 academic year as rising juniors, seniors, or as high school graduates. Offered as an in-residence program, DyF_’26 will be housed in the Center for Architectural Studies, Marywood University. Students will be assigned individual desks and will have the opportunity of using the same spaces as our undergraduate and graduate students. Furthermore, students enrolled in the program will have the opportunity of seeing in action various laboratories and shops (wood / metal / 3D printing / CNC router / laser cutting / etc.).
Design your Future Program 2026 is designed with the desire of an immersive experience, engaging students in several demonstrations anchored to the Architecture, Interior Architecture, and Construction Management Programs. The program has established a participation fee of $1,200, to ensure that this opportunity is affordable and accessible to all. The program fee includes:
