Upper-Class Housing Selection Process

Housing Requirements

Policy: All unmarried, full-time students are required to reside in University housing during their first two years of enrollment unless they are at least 21 years of age, and/or living with their parent or guardians in their primary family homes, within a 50-mile radius of the University's campus.

Students who don’t participate in selection process, but are required to live on-campus will be notified of their assignment and meal plan at the conclusion of the housing selection process.

This application process is intended only for current Marywood students who will be residing in on-campus housing for the 2024-2025 academic year.

In order to participate in the housing selection process, students must do the following:

  • Complete the Housing Intent Form
  • Pay the $300.00 Room reservation Fee.
    • The Room Reservation Fee (Deposit) may be paid online starting Friday February 16, 2024 through the MarywoodYou Portal or via the Cashier's Office. Payments must be made by Thursday, March 28th in order to be assigned to housing.
  • Read and electronically sign Housing Agreement
  • Attend an information session

Students assigned to Loughran, Madonna, and Regina Halls are required to purchase a meal plan.

Students who are assigned to the Woodlands apartments are not required to select a meal plan.

Housing Selection Process

  • Friday February 16th : Housing Intent form is open and students MUST complete this form by Friday February 23rd in order to participate in Housing Selection.
  • Friday February 16th : Students will be able to pay the Room Reservation Fee (Deposit). This fee MUST be paid prior to Thursday March 28th in order to be assigned Housing.
  • Monday March 18th : Application for Housing Selection will be emailed to student’s Marywood email address.
  • Thursday March 28th : Application process for Housing Selection will be closed.
  • Monday April 8th to  Friday April 12th: Students will be notified via their Marywood email address of their  2024-2025 Housing Assignment.

Complete groups who have met the following criteria;

    • Complete the Housing Intent Form by Friday, February 23rd.
    • Pay your $300 Room Reservation Fee 
      • The Room Reservation Fee (Deposit) may be paid online starting today through the MarywoodYou Portal or via the Cashier's Office. Payments must be made by Thursday, March 28th in order to be assigned to housing.
  • Students will be assigned to apartments based on the individual in the group who has the highest number of completed credits as of the Fall 2023 semester. In situations where multiple individuals in different groups have the same amount of completed credits, application date/time will also be considered for placement purposes. Due to certain housing types being limited, submission of an application for a specific type of housing does not guarantee placement. With that in mind, we suggest that students have second and/or third choice options for housing in the event that they do not receive their first choice of housing.

    Housing Selection FAQs

    Yes, but they would still be considered a rising senior for selection.

    Current study abroad students may participate in housing Selection. Students in Study Abroad in the fall may NOT participate in Housing Selection.

     Yes, an individual can be added to a group to select housing.

    No, Students MUST be currently enrolled to participate in Housing Selection.

    No, only current students can participate in Housing Selection.

    No, students can’t keep the same housing from one year to the next.

    Since all apartments and rooms must be vacated at the end of the academic year, groups can’t roll over their current assignments.

    No, Madonna Hall and the Woodland Residences do not have any minimum requirements.
