Make Your Mark with a Printmaking Degree (MA)
The Master of Studio Arts in Printmaking program is designed to provide professional emphasis for persons with an intense commitment to their art who intend to become serious professional artists. Marywood’s MA in Studio Arts can give you the opportunity to develop your conceptual and technical skills as professional artists. You can build a foundation for further professional growth and increase awareness of your role in contemporary society.
Students in the 2-D concentration (painting, printmaking, photography) are tasked with becoming articulate, self-aware and directed fine artists. Working within a small community of peers, the student gains creative insight in discussing his or her own visual discoveries with the work and ideas of others in regular critique and review. The student in this program should expect to graduate with a MA in Studio Arts degree within two years of concentrated study.
- 36-credit program for committed artists
- Develop conceptual/technical skills a professional artist
- Earn MA in Printmaking within two years
I chose Marywood because the people here are very welcoming and it felt like a home away from home. The dormitories are comfortable to live in; some may say Marywood spoils the students because of how well we live. The facilities for art majors are phenomenal.
