Soar into the Future: UAS Minor & Drone Operations at Marywood

The UAS Minor and Drone Operations Certificate will provide students with FAA Part 107 certification preparation, flight training, mission planning, data processing, and industry-specific drone applications. Students will develop technical expertise in the following areas including the following: drone flight operations and safety including understanding FAA regulations, risk management, and operational procedures; data collection and analysis utilizing drones for mapping, surveying, and environmental monitoring; aerial photography and videography applying drone technology to media, marketing, and digital storytelling; business and logistics applications exploring drone use in real estate, agriculture, infrastructure, and supply chain management.

This interdisciplinary approach allows students to tailor the minor to their career interests while gaining a foundation in drone technology. Graduates will be well-equipped for careers in aerial media production, geospatial science, emergency response, business innovation, and beyond.
