Message from the Dean
On behalf of the faculty and staff of the College of Health Sciences, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our website. The College offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders; Health, Nutrition and Exercise Science; Nursing, Respiratory Therapy and Healthcare Administration; Physician Assistant Studies; Psychology and Counseling; Social Work; and Science and Mathematics. Additionally, we house a state-of-the-art Exercise Science Lab.
Our faculty are committed educators and researchers who will go the extra mile to help you attain your educational goals such that you will be prepared for the future you envision. In the College of Health Sciences, learning takes place within as well as outside of the classroom. Students are encouraged to participate in service-learning trips, study abroad, become involved in athletics, attend or participate in the various cultural events on campus, as well as to collaborate with faculty on research projects that are bounded only by your interest and imagination.

Retiring President Sister Mary Persico, IHM, Ed.D. to Address Class of 2024
Sister Mary, who will retire on June 30, will address graduates at Marywood University’s 106th Commencement on May 18, 2024, and will be recognized with a special tribute at the ceremony.

Atty. Lori, a Marywood graduate, formerly served as Board Chair. She will begin her presidential tenure on July 1, 2024.

New Faculty & VPs Announced
Nineteen new faculty members, representing 11 programs, were recently announced for the 2023-2024 academic year. In addition, two new VPs began their tenures.
