Summary of Duties:

The Coordinator of Global Education is a full-time position within the Office of Global Education.  This position provides administrative and logistical support to the office with close direction from the Associate Provost for Global Education; will assist in the coordination of the office transportation needs, student housing, and orientations; plan program events/trips; assist students as needed; support departmental staff members; support Academic Affairs with grants and sponsored research; and will problem solve as required.

Educational Requirements:

• The English as a Second Language (ESL) Instructor will be responsible for teaching one or more classes as part of the ESL program offered by Marywood University both on campus and at community sites. Summary of Duties

The International Student Activity Coordinator is a part-time position within the Office of Global Education. This position provides administrative and logistical support to the office with close direction from the Associate Provost for Global Education; will coordinates travel arrangements for student-related field trips and site visits in accordance with College policies and procedures; will assist in the coordination of student housing, and orientations; plan program events/trips; assist students as needed; support departmental staff members.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field is required.
• Master's degree in an area such as intercultural communication, foreign languages, education, international higher education, international relations, global studies or related fields is preferred.

Work Experience Requirements

• Two (2) years' experience working in international education, student services, academic advising, international engagement or a related field is required.
• Experience in higher education and/or cross-cultural programming, advising, or counseling is preferred.
• Knowledge of international educational systems and credentials is preferred.
• Fluency in English with proficiency in additional languages is preferred.

Essential Elements

• As a direct report to the Associate Provost for Global Education, this position will assist in related tasks and is supportive of all responsibilities in this area
• Coordinates all logistical needs of the programs, including, but not limited to, student housing arrangements, all details of transportation, and scheduling of classroom space
• Coordinates all events scheduled for global programs including, but not limited to, international delegation visits, coordinating meeting schedules, preparing presentation materials, scheduling space, making necessary arrangements for facilities and catering, and all other details to ensure the success of each event
• Coordinates activities and schedule events after appropriate planning and development and determines appropriate campus facilities for programs and reserves rooms and facilities for use
• Supervise and evaluate all student activity events and confers frequently with supervisor on student activity matters
• Maintains orderly and updated file documentation for international students
• Receives, registers, and orients new and potential international students as needed
• Assists in developing new contracts for internships and marketing
• Works cooperatively with all other staff members, including program instructors, to maximize the short and long-term success of the programs
• Assists with the design of new programs, services, or concepts
• Drives department vehicles for students' off-campus activities, field trips, and site visits
• Provides students, clients, partners, and co-workers with the highest level of service excellence and professionalism to enhance retention and provide growth for the department
• Assists and communicates regularly with students to answer questions, provide program information, and troubleshoot issues
• Additional duties as required

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

• Perform layout, fabrication and repair of equipment and structures
• Troubleshoot and repair complex equipment and distribution systems
• Analyze simple drawings, follow specifications, oral instructions and general requirements across the following trades: carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing, while under minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Mechanical: Install, diagnose and repair complex and simple equipment; use typical mechanics tools; work from drawings and verbal instructions or sketches; monitors boilers and makes adjustments
• Plumbing: Make necessary repairs on distribution equipment; use of plumbing tools; use of pro-press; have working knowledge of hot work permit system
• Electrical: Plans, lays out, installs wiring circuits and distribution systems to applicable codes; follow lockout/tagout procedures; install simple data lines and use testing equipment
• Painter:  Selects proper tools and equipment; prepare paint including machine and mixing; use spray
  equipment; set up work site; estimate paint; prepare surfaces including cleaning, patching and minor repairs; performs spackling, caulking, sanding and taping applications
• Carpentry: General rough in carpentry; be familiar with carpentry tools and procedures
• General: Keep work areas and equipment clean; work with minimal supervision; essential personnel may be called in emergencies during day or night, including but not limited to snow removal; may be asked to work overtime; computer skills to log on to CMMS to log time and retrieve work orders; answer e-mails; will be needed for event set-up and moving furniture

The Adult Basic Literacy Education Instructors will be responsible for teaching one or more classes as part of the ABLE program offered at Marywood University. This includes assessing students, remote and face-to-face instruction, and planning lessons in alignment with the ABLE curriculum. The ideal candidate will have the ability to motivate and retain learners and must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with outside agencies, students, and administrative staff. The ABLE Instructor is responsible for the Adult Basic Literacy Education (ABLE) Program Director and the ABLE Coordinators. The instructor will teach adult learners in a variety of content areas.

Required Qualifications:

Teaching certification is preferred along with experience teaching secondary learners. Pennsylvania Department of Education Clearances required.

The Associate Dean for the College of Health Sciences provides leadership, support, and oversight for academic programs, faculty, and student services within the college. • Assist the Dean with strategic initiatives, program development, and accreditation processes for all College of Health Sciences departments.
• Provide leadership in curriculum planning, faculty mentoring, student success initiatives, and resource management.

• Assist in faculty and staff recruitment, retention, evaluation, and professional development.

• Work with a college Chairs in change management, accountability, process and policy implementation.
