The Department of Psychology & Counseling at Marywood University (Scranton, PA) is seeking applicants for one of the following full-time positions:
- Assistant Professor of Psychology (tenure-track)
- Assistant Professor of Psychology (professor of practice/non-tenure)
- Per annum instructor (one year contract)
Position descriptions:

- Responsibilities
- Seven courses per academic year
- Service to the Department, University, and profession
- Mentorship of undergraduate and graduate student research
- Research scholarship
- Minimum Requirements
- PsyD or PhD (ABD welcome to apply) in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, OR an applied clinical area of psychology (e.g., forensic, health, rehabilitation)
- Prior teaching experience and/or training for college-level teaching
- Evidence of research publications and/or professional presentations
- Assistant Professor of Psychology (Professor of practice/non-tenure, full-time)
- Responsibilities
- Eight courses per year
- Service to the Department, University, and profession
- Professional work (e.g., practice, licensure, certification, field or policy contributions)
- Minimum Requirements
- PsyD or PhD (ABD welcome to apply) in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, OR an applied clinical area of psychology (e.g., forensic, health, rehabilitation)
- Prior teaching experience and/or training for college-level teaching
- Licensed preferred
- Per annum instructor (one-year contract, full-time)

- MS or MA in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, OR an applied clinical area of psychology (e.g., forensic, health, rehabilitation)

The primary responsibility of the position is teaching in the undergraduate Bachelor of Science psychology program. The specific course options would be based on the interests and expertise of the individual and can include any of the following: Abnormal Psychology, Abnormal Behavior in Children and Adolescents, specialized courses for the clinical psychology track of the major (Clinical I: Professional Development; Clinical II: Ethics & Evidence-Based Practice; Psychology Internship), Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods, Senior Seminar, OR electives in the candidate’s area of specialization (e.g., forensic psychology, drugs and behavior, health psychology). Courses can be taught in fall, spring, and/or summer sessions, depending on the individual’s preferences.
