Marywood University and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) in Egypt continue to build on their strong academic partnership. The collaboration includes a growing 1+1 MBA program where students spend their first year in Egypt and finish their degree at Marywood. The partnership also offers a fully online PhD program that connects students across continents with Marywood faculty.

A Marywood delegation recently traveled to Egypt to celebrate the graduation of the second MBA cohort and to explore new opportunities for expanding the partnership. During the visit, the team discussed the possibility of adding additional MBA majors and creating future experiences for undergraduate students.

The delegation, which included President Lisa Lori, James Eckler and Jessica A. Quintana Hess, toured several AASTMT campuses to learn more about their programs, students and potential areas for future collaboration.

Farah Ibrahim was also present for family-related travel and AASTMT–Marywood meetings and participated in the AASTMT ceremony, though President Lori, James and Jessica were the primary representatives for the visit.

This growing partnership reflects Marywood’s commitment to global engagement, academic innovation and meaningful international collaboration.
