Booking an Event at Marywood University

Whether you’re a student organization planning a campus program, a faculty or staff member coordinating an academic event, or a community partner seeking to host a gathering, Marywood University offers welcoming spaces and professional support to help bring your vision to life.

Marywood Employee Quicklinks

Choose from a variety of flexible indoor and outdoor spaces designed to support meetings, conferences, performances, athletic events, receptions, and other gatherings. Marywood University offers spaces for groups ranging from small meetings to large events of up to 1,100 guests.
Rooms can be configured to meet the needs of your event, with technology and support options available in many locations. Athletic and outdoor facilities are also available for select events and activities.
Below are some of our most popular spaces.

Sette La Verghetta Theatre
The Sette La Verghetta Theatre seats up to 1,100 guests and is well suited for performances, presentations, ceremonies, and large-scale events. The theatre features a proscenium stage, orchestra pit, dressing rooms, box office areas, control room, backstage space, and fly system.
Additional performance amenities include professional sound and lighting capabilities, Steinway and Mason & Hamlin grand pianos, and a large Allen electronic organ.

Swartz Center: Conferences & Events
The Swartz Center for Spiritual Life offers flexible spaces for meetings, conferences, receptions, and special events, with rooms accommodating approximately 5 to 100 guests.
Larger meeting spaces can support breakout sessions and include technology and dining options. The spacious lobby may also be used for receptions, exhibits, and informal gatherings.
The Swartz Center is also home to Marian Chapel, an intimate setting for recitals, concerts, spiritual programs, and other special events. The chapel features distinctive two-story stained glass doors that can be opened for select outdoor liturgical celebrations.

Nazareth Hall Latour Room
The Latour Room is a spacious, flexible multipurpose venue that can accommodate up to 500 guests. The room can be configured for a variety of event formats and includes multimedia capabilities to support presentations and programs.

Center for Athletics and Wellness
The Center for Athletics and Wellness offers a variety of spaces for athletic events, wellness activities, meetings, and special programs.
Indoor facilities include the 1,500-seat Insalaco Arena, an elevated running track, fitness center, climbing wall, classrooms, dance and aerobic studio, conference space, training areas, laboratories, and locker rooms.
The Aquatics Center features an eight-lane NCAA-regulation pool, diving boards, spectator seating, team locker rooms, and competition amenities.
Outdoor facilities include multipurpose athletic fields, tennis courts, running areas, sand volleyball, basketball courts, and a soccer field.

Marywood University offers a variety of dining and catering options through our campus food service partner. Catering services are available for meetings, events, receptions, and other gatherings, with options ranging from light refreshments and breaks to buffets and served meals.

Guests may also enjoy dining in Marywood’s Main Dining Room, which offers a variety of menu selections in a casual, food-court-style setting. Our food service partner works with event organizers to provide quality food and service tailored to the needs of each event.

Request Catering

Marywood University offers a variety of comfortable residence facilities for conference and event guests, each with its own unique style and amenities. Residence facilities include air conditioning, wireless internet access, shared lounge spaces, laundry facilities, and vending areas.

    • Suite-style accommodations with semi-private bathrooms
  • Loughran Hall | Accommodates up to 321 guests
    • Suite-style accommodations with semi-private bathrooms
  • Regina Hall | Accommodates up to 165 guests
    • Most rooms are suite-style with semi-private bathrooms
  • Woodland Residences | 4-, 5-, and 10-person apartments
    • Fully furnished apartments with full kitchens
