Marywood University has been ranked No. 1 in Pennsylvania by RegisteredNursing.org in its 2026 listing of nursing schools, which compares programs based on first-time National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) pass rates, cost, and admissions information.

According to RegisteredNursing.org’s Pennsylvania rankings, Marywood recorded a 100% first-time NCLEX-RN pass rate across 88 candidates, based on the publication’s three-year weighted average. The recognition highlights the University’s commitment to preparing nursing students with the knowledge and clinical skills needed to enter the profession.

Marywood’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) program combines classroom instruction, hands-on learning, and clinical experiences to prepare students for the demands of modern health care. The 120-credit program features a Nursing Simulation Center where students practice clinical skills, develop critical thinking, and build confidence in a controlled learning environment.

Students also gain practical experience through clinical partnerships with regional health care facilities and a final-semester internship that helps prepare them for the transition from the classroom to professional nursing practice.

Marywood’s nursing program reported a 100% NCLEX-RN pass rate for its Class of 2026, marking the fourth consecutive year its graduates achieved a 100% first-time pass rate, according to the University’s published results.

The B.S.N. program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. These credentials support the program’s commitment to academic quality and professional preparation.

Located in Scranton, Marywood offers students opportunities to pursue nursing education while building connections with health care providers throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. Through its emphasis on academic preparation, clinical experience, and individualized faculty support, the University prepares graduates to pursue careers serving patients and communities across a range of health care settings.
