As part of the offerings of Marywood's education unit, our secondary education programs in English and Spanish are recognized and approved by the  Pennsylvania Department of Education . The approval process establishes rigorous standards for program quality and professional educator competency and holds licensed institutions accountable for meeting these standards.

Marywood University Launches New School of Communication

Marywood announced today the creation of its new School of Communication, an interdisciplinary academic home that brings together Theatre, Multimedia Communication, Film, Music Production, Digital Storytelling, Podcasting, Broadcasting, Journalism and related creative disciplines into one collaborative environment designed for the future. This new academic home is designed to prepare students for today’s rapidly evolving creative industries.

Middle States Reaffirms Marywood University’s Accreditation Recognizing Institutional Excellence, Innovation, and Institutional Transformation

The accreditation review also acknowledged Marywood's growing culture of evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement, while recognizing major investments in student success, academic assessment, governance, financial stewardship, and strategic planning.
