Driven by a lifelong passion for teaching, Nina Colianni chose Marywood University for its respected teacher education program and close-knit campus community. Coming from a small high school, the personalized learning and mentoring at Marywood made a lasting impression, especially through inspiring professors like Dr. Mark Lemoncelli, whose teaching methods continue to influence Nina’s own classroom approach.
After graduation, Nina gained valuable hands-on experience substituting in local districts before securing a dream role as a high school social studies teacher at Wallenpaupack Area School District — a place she proudly calls home. Committed to lifelong learning, Nina earned a Master’s in Education from Wilkes University and is currently pursuing an EdD in Educational Leadership, while also teaching history courses online as an adjunct instructor at Lackawanna College.
Nina encourages students to get involved in the Marywood community early, valuing the connections and experiences that support success both in education and beyond. With a foundation built at Marywood, she continues to grow as an educator dedicated to inspiring the next generation.
