Why have you chosen to be part of the Marywood Alumni Association Board of Directors?

Marywood helped me grow into the professional I am today, and I want to provide any insights that may help future student maximize their own potential.

What is your favorite memory from your time as a student at Marywood University?

We used to be in the old library, where all the STEM majors would hang out at a table called the “Social Pipeline”. We all used to spend endless hours in the library, and this made the hard work enjoyable. I remember getting here by 7:00 AM and staying until 10:00 PM on some nights.

What advice would you give a student attending Marywood?

Half the battle is showing up. Unlike high school, missing a lecture can set you back severely; missing one or more lectures can be devastating. Having a great group of peers can help you study and understand concepts that may not be clear at first.

What were you involved with during your time as a student at Marywood University? (athletics, clubs, etc.)

  •       Tennis freshman year and half of my sophomore year year
  •       American Chemical Society (President Senior Year)
  •       Biology Club (VP Senior Year)
  •       Tutor (Gen Chem, Physics, Organic Chemistry, Biology)

What is a fun fact about yourself?

My wife and I have a Mini-Schnauzer (Gatsby) who is 11 pounds but runs my life, and somehow I am okay with it.
