Sue Lettera, MSW
Sue is the MSW Program Coordinator in the Lehigh Valley. She has been a practicing Social Worker/Administrator for over 38 years. She earned her Bachelor's of Social Work/Minor in Sociology Degree from Marywood College and a Master's Degree in Social Work from Widener University. She has completed graduate work toward a Master's Degree in Public Administration at Kutztown University, along with numerous training/continuing education credits over the last 38 years. Sue started her PhD journey in January 2024.
Sue is a certified Trauma Trainer, QPR Instructor and Integrated Community Therapy (ICT) Facilitator. She was awarded a Certification in High Performance Leadership from NACo's High Performance Leadership Academy. Sue teaches SW 505 - Administration in Social Work and SW 802 - Social Policy Advocacy.
From 1987-2001, Sue worked in residential/day treatment settings serving children/adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and autism. Beginning in 2001, she joined the staff at Lehigh County Children and Youth Services where she primarily worked in in-take/assessment services and specialized in Family Group Decision Making/Family Finding. In 2016, Sue was promoted to the Lehigh County's CASSP Coordinator position and in 2018 promoted to the Lehigh County Integrated Services Director position. Sue retired from Lehigh County on September 1, 2023.
Sue is an Executive Team Member of Resilient Lehigh Valley (https://resilientlehighvalley.org/). Sue is also a member of the Higher Education Suicide Prevention Coalition and the Lehigh County Suicide Prevention Coalition where she is also a member of the L.O.S.S. Team. Sue is also a member of the Board of Directors for Aevidum (https://aevidum.org/). Sue is a member of NASW-PA and Social Work IMPACT (a group of Social Workers Influencing Meaningful Policy and Community Transformation).
Sue lives in the Lehigh Valley. She is the mother of two children, one of which is a current Marywood student. Sue loves the outdoors and Star Trek !!
