About me: I joined the Admissions team in January 2026. I graduated from Alvernia University in 2013 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Communications, Journalism emphasis, and a Women's Studies minor. I was born and raised in the Hazleton Area but currently live outside Wilkes-Barre with my wonderful husband, Steven.
My interests: I love reading, writing, and music. I enjoy going to concerts with friends. (My favorite concert was Coldplay in 2022 and Bruce Springsteen made a surprise appearance!) I also love genealogy and studying languages. I've studied Spanish, Italian and Latin in school. I still study Italian independently, but I'd also love to learn Serbian (my in-laws were born and raised there) and Irish.
My favorite thing about Marywood: The fact that it was founded by nuns, just like my alma mater, Alvernia.
My favorite place at Marywood: The Rotunda is beautiful and the artwork is spectacular. I feel like I am walking into an art museum every morning!
You'd never guess: I have a set of twin brothers who are only 10 months younger than me. We are all the same age for 2 months out of the year!
My best advice: Don't be afraid to try new things! During my time in undergrad, I joined the Theatre Club even though it was definitely outside of my comfort zone at the time. It ended up giving me a lot of confidence and introduced me to so many wonderful people; some of them became my best friends in the world!
