Nursing Students Bring Health Education to Local Elementary School

Published

Marywood University nursing students and faculty recently volunteered at the Moscow Elementary Center, where they led an educational outreach program for third-grade students focused on health and wellness.

During the visit, students taught lessons on proper handwashing techniques, healthy eating habits, and the importance of preventing bullying. The interactive sessions encouraged younger students to engage with basic health concepts in a fun and age-appropriate way while reinforcing positive daily habits.

The initiative reflects Marywood’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and experiential learning, providing nursing students with hands-on opportunities to apply classroom knowledge while serving local schools and promoting lifelong wellness.
