Marywood University has been ranked No. 1 in Pennsylvania among licensed practical nurse (LPN)-to-registered nurse (RN) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) programs by PracticalNursing.org in its 2027 rankings.

Marywood’s LPN-to-BSN program provides licensed practical nurses with an opportunity to build on their existing education and experience while working toward a bachelor’s degree in nursing. The program combines nursing coursework with hands-on learning and clinical experiences to help students strengthen their knowledge and prepare for expanded roles in health care.

The program typically takes two to three years to complete, with flexible scheduling options designed to accommodate students’ busy lives. Students also benefit from Marywood’s Nursing Simulation Center, where they can practice clinical skills, develop critical thinking, and prepare for real-world patient care.

Marywood’s nursing programs emphasize academic preparation, practical experience, and personalized support as students work toward their professional goals. The university’s nursing program reported a 100% first-time pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) for its 2026 graduates.

This recognition highlights Marywood’s commitment to preparing nurses to provide quality care and pursue opportunities for professional growth. Through its LPN-to-BSN pathway, the university supports experienced nurses as they take the next step in their education and careers.
