Marywood University is proud to announce that architecture student Joseph M. Brown has been honored with the 2025 AIA Pennsylvania Student Excellence Award, recognizing his outstanding academic achievement and professional promise in the field of architecture.
Brown credits his success to the guidance and support of his peers and faculty at both Marywood University and Northampton Community College. He offered special thanks to Jodi La Coe (MU) and Joseph Biondo, FAIA (NCC) for their mentorship, as well as to Daniel Ebner Architects Inc. for providing professional experience that helped him develop the skills and techniques that contributed to this recognition.
“This award is a reflection of the incredible support and education I’ve received along the way,” said Brown. “I am grateful to my mentors, colleagues, and professional collaborators who have helped me reach this milestone, and I am excited to see where this achievement will lead me next.”
The AIA Pennsylvania Student Excellence Award is presented annually to students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance, professional skill development, and leadership potential in architecture. Brown’s accomplishment highlights the dedication and talent of Marywood’s architecture students and reflects the University’s commitment to preparing graduates for successful careers in the profession.
