Janelle Sanabria Breaks School Record in 1000m

Freshman Janelle Sanabria made history for Marywood University at the NYC Gotham Cup, breaking the first indoor track and field school record of the 2026 season at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
Sanabria set a new program mark in the women’s 1,000 meters, finishing in 3:20.16 to place 26th overall. Her performance surpassed the previous school record by 23-hundredths of a second in a meet that did not include team scoring.
