
Graduate Student Awarded National Scholarship
First-year graduate student in the University’s Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) department, Rebecca Skakal, Lancaster, N.Y., was recently notified that she is the recipient of the 2017 Graduate Student Scholarship supported by the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA) Scholarship Fund.
NSSLHA, through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation, awarded three $5,000 scholarships this year. The scholarships are to support students who are pursuing graduate education in the fields of speech-language pathology or audiology.
This year’s scholarship was formally announced at the annual convention of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, which was held in Los Angeles, Calif.
