The Cuban Missile Crisis: A Complexity Reading
In this work, Dr. Dawoody introduces the paradigms of the new sciences of complexity and applies them to policy analysis. Drawing on data from Allison and Zelikow’s Essence of Decision: Explaining the Cuban Missile Crisis (1999), the book presents a conceptual analysis of the 1962 Cuban missile crisis through the lens of complexity science. It also incorporates a Constructive Metaphorical Model for complexity-based data interpretation.
