Published

Marywood University is proud to celebrate adjunct professor Christina Hitchcock, who recently earned a spot on the New York Times Best-Seller list, ranking #3 in Young Adult Paperback for her book The Super Easy Teen Cookbook, published in December 2025.

The book was inspired by Hitchcock’s experience as a parent of a teenager who loves to cook, combined with her long-standing passion for teaching practical life skills through food. Written specifically for teens and young adults, the cookbook focuses on simple techniques, easy-to-find ingredients, and real-world kitchen skills to help young cooks gain confidence in the kitchen. Hitchcock is also the author of The How-To Cookbook for College and Just the Basics Cookbook, both designed to support new cooks in building independence and practical skills.

In addition to her work as an author, Hitchcock founded It Is a Keeper, a nationally recognized food and lifestyle brand that helps families cook smarter with simple, tried-and-true recipes. Through her work in media and digital platforms, she has reached millions of readers and built several successful online brands.

At Marywood, Hitchcock brings her real-world experience into the classroom as an adjunct professor in the Multimedia Communications program, teaching digital marketing, analytics, and media writing. Her professional insight and hands-on experience give students a unique perspective on the industry and creative problem-solving.

Hitchcock’s recognition on the New York Times Best-Seller list highlights the expertise, creativity, and practical knowledge she shares with Marywood students each week. The University congratulates her on this achievement and celebrates her contributions to both the classroom and the broader community.
