
David Romines, D.M.A. Selected for State Chair of Pennsylvania by National Band Association
The National Band Association Executive Committee has appointed F. David Romines, D.M.A., associate professor of music education, director of bands, and co-chairperson of the music, theatre, and dance department at Marywood University, to the post of State Chair of Pennsylvania.
The National Band Association, founded on September 11, 1960, is the largest professional organization for bands in the world. It was organized for the purpose of promoting the musical, cultural, and educational significance of bands, and is dedicated to the attainment of a high level of excellence for bands and band music. There are more than 100 National Band Association members in Pennsylvania and approximately 2,000 members worldwide. Dr. Romines is a two-time recipient of the National Band Association’s Citation of Excellence award.
