The NEW Workplace Rulebook No One Gave You: Understanding the New Rules of WorkEver feel like you’re doing “all the right things” at work, yet the expectations keep shifting? You’re not alone. Today’s workplace runs on a different rulebook—one most of us were never formally taught.
In this interactive Emerging Leaders Workshop, Mona DelSole, MPA ’95, breaks down the unspoken expectations that shape modern work and explores the skills professionals need to navigate their careers with greater confidence and clarity.
We’ll examine how traditional workplace assumptions—like work hard and you’ll be rewarded or titles equal authority—often clash with today’s reality, where results matter more than effort, influence outweighs title, boundaries are blurry, and career mobility is the norm.
Participants will explore:
-How old workplace “rules” differ from today’s expectations
-Why generational differences impact communication and work styles
-The emotional intelligence skills everyone expects—but few are taught
-Practical strategies for navigating ambiguity, influence, and change

Richard Leonori Memorial Scholarship Reception

You're invited to support the Richard Leonori Memorial Scholarship with an exhibition and reception for the 2026 Leonori Competition Winners from Marywood School of Architecture.
Event Registration: $50 per person

Come back to campus and be part of another great year of Marywood Men’s Soccer alumni tradition! All Men’s Soccer alumni are invited to lace up their cleats, reconnect with teammates past and present, and celebrate the program that brought us together.
The afternoon kicks off on the Marywood Turf Field with time to check in, warm up, and catch up with fellow alumni before taking the field alongside current Marywood Men’s Soccer players in our annual alumni match. No matter when you played, this is a chance to relive the memories, enjoy the competition, and reconnect with the Marywood soccer community.
After the game, continue the celebration at a post-game reception, featuring food, drinks, and plenty of time to mingle with teammates, coaches, and friends.
