Maria Hricko Fay has been a Board-Certified Music Therapist since 1995, a Licensed Social
Worker in PA since 2000, a Fellow of the Association for Music and Imagery since 2004, and a
Licensed Creative Arts Therapist in NY since 2006. Maria brings over 14 years’ experience
working in adult/child mental health settings. She has over 20 years’ experience supervising
Marywood University music therapy students in various capacities and teaching music therapy
courses in the Music Department. In addition to being pro rata faculty at Marywood, she works
combining music therapy and social work practice in a school setting. Over the years, Maria has
served the music therapy profession at state, regional and national levels, assisting states in
working towards state recognition of music therapy. She has also presented on music therapy
at local, regional, and national conferences.
