About me: I joined the Marywood Admissions Team in August 2022. In May of 2022, I graduated from Marywood with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. Other than being a Pacer through and through, I am also a native of the Scranton area! I grew up in, and still reside within, Old Forge, Pennsylvania, the self-proclaimed pizza capital of the world!
My interests: Outside of work and school, I am an avid reader and enjoy reading books from various genres and time periods. When it comes down to favorites, however, I am an utter admirer of Toni Morrison and her works. Other than reading, I enjoy spending as much time as possible with family and friends!
My favorite thing about Marywood: The best aspect of Marywood, in my opinion, is by far the sense of community present across campus. Truth be told, there is no such thing as a stranger on campus. From day one, students, faculty, and staff alike are familiar with you, your name, your story, and your goals.
My favorite place at Marywood: Although the rotunda quickly comes to mind, my favorite place on campus would have to be the Learning Commons. The first floor is always full of life, and the second floor offers a beautiful view of the mountains surrounding campus!
You’d never guess: I am a coffee fiend! My day never truly starts until I have Starbucks or Dunkin’ in hand.
Best advice: Ask. College, work, and the world in general can be confusing and difficult to navigate at times, but there are always people willing to help! Questions give way to answers, which can ease nerves, but asking questions also provides the opportunity to foster connections and relationships. Some of my best friends from my undergraduate years at Marywood began by me, or them, asking for help finding a classroom or trying to figure out how to complete an assignment for class.
