Abbey attended Marywood University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Science in 2004. She then went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2005. Abbey received a Ph.D. in Strategic Leadership & Administrative Studies in 2022.
After PA graduation, Abbey began working in emergency medicine both at Community Medical Center & Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton. Abbey holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Emergency Medicine (CAQ-EM).
Abbey joined the Physician Assistant Program at Marywood University in 2014 where she has served as Clinical Coordinator, Academic Director, and now as Program Director. She teaches 3 semesters of Clinical Medicine and EKG Interpretation during the didactic year, and assists with Medical Procedures and practical exams throughout the year. Abbey resides in Dunmore with her husband, Bobby, and their five children.
