Marywood's Hearing Clinic Offers Free Screenings

McGowan Center for Graduate and Professional Studies. The screenings are open to the public. Appointments are necessary and can be made by calling (570) 348-6299.
“Release the Light” Program Set to Increase Awareness on Sexual Assault-April 14
Tue, April 06, 2010Marywood University joins in the national effort in providing Release the Light Sexual Assault Awareness Program on Wednesday, April 14 in the Fireplace Lounge Nazareth Student Center from 12 - 2:00 p.m. The purpose is to increase student and community awareness for the need of violence prevention and reducing incidents of sexual assault on college campuses and in the community.
Poets Marilyn Chin and Sonia Sanchez to Perform at Marywood- April 9

The event is sponsored by the Cooperative Grant Program with the University of Scranton. The poetry readings are free and open the public.
Entrepreneur William Strickland to Address Marywood Graduates
Wed, March 31, 2010William E. Strickland Jr., President and CEO of Manchester Bidwell Corporation and its subsidiaries, Manchester Craftsmen's Guild (MCG), and Bidwell Training Center (BTC), will be the keynote speaker at Marywood University's Commencement on May 9, 2010 at 1p.m. in the Mohegan Sun Arena, Wilkes Barre. He will also be awarded an honorary doctoral degree during the ceremony.
Marywood University Receives National Recognition for Community Service
Fri, March 19, 2010Marywood University has been named to the 2009 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll with Distinction, the highest federal recognition a college or university can receive for its commitment to volunteering, service-learning and civic engagement. Out of 780 applicants, Marywood was one of the 115 schools with distinction. This is the second consecutive year for Marywood University to be included on the Honor Roll.
