For the 41st consecutive year, Marywood University and the Ballet Theatre of Scranton will present The Nutcracker ballet on December 26-28 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. each day. Performances will be held in the Sette LaVerghetta Center for the Performing Arts on the University's campus.
Sr. Mary Persico, IHM, Ed.D, president of the University, recently announced the appointments of two new executive officers. The Board of Trustees appointed Susan C. Turell, Ph.D., provost, and Tammy J. McHale, CPA, vice president for business affairs.
A nutrition and dietetics articulation agreement was recently signed between Marywood University and SUNY Broome Community College. The agreement affords SUNY Broome students the seamless transfer to Marywood to complete their bachelor's degree in the Nutrition and Dietetics program.
The Aviation Club held various fundraisers on campus to raise funds for Toys for Tots. Club members purchased the toys and delivered them to the pediatrics department at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton.
