Encouraging Public Transportation

Marywood, in partnership with the County of Lackawanna Transit System (COLTS) and the University of Scranton, provides free, county-wide bus transportation to students, faculty, and staff. Read more about Marywood's partnership with COLTS.

Electric Vehicles

Marywood's Maintenance Department uses an electric-powered van that requires no gas and produces less emissions than a gasoline-powered vehicle. Each month, the van saves 130 gallons of gas and prevents 3,000 lbs. of carbon dioxide from polluting the air.
