Faculty Handbook: HIPPA Privacy Practices

Procedures

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPPA) requires that health plans protect the confidentiality of private health information.  A complete description of rights under HIPPA can be found in the Plan's notice of privacy practices.  The Privacy Officer, Dr. Patricia E. Dunleavy, Assistant Vice President for Human Resources, should be contact for a copy of the notice, for questions about the privacy of health information, or to file a complaint
