Marywood Launches Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter Focused on Community & Sustainability

Marywood University has launched a new Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter, giving students hands-on experience in construction, leadership, and community service through local home-building projects. This semester, students partnered with Endless Mountains Habitat for Humanity in Mehoopany, PA, and will next help bring “The Electric Jane,” an award-winning zero-net energy townhome designed by Marywood’s School of Architecture, to life in Scranton.

    Professor Rick Hoffenberg recently made his conducting debut at Carnegie Hall, leading a performance of Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms alongside a group of Marywood University alumni and community members. The once in a lifetime performance brought singers together from across the country and marked a major milestone in Hoffenberg’s musical career.
