About me: I joined the Marywood Admissions staff in the Summer of 2013. I have had many roles at Marywood including serving as the Executive President of the Undergraduate Student Government as well as the Clubs and Organizations Graduate Assistant. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Management and my master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, both from Marywood. I am originally from Byram, NJ, but currently live in Scranton, PA.
My Interests: I love New York sports. I am a diehard Giants and Yankees fan and a huge fan of the sport of basketball! I like to lift weights, play basketball, or play video games with my friends. My favorite show of all time has to be The Office, which is ironic, because I never watched the show before I moved here and have now seen every episode at least 3 times!
My favorite thing about Marywood: I love the small class sizes. Throughout my experiences at both the undergraduate and graduate level, I never once felt like just a number. You have a voice here and in the classroom you are encouraged to ask questions to ensure learning.
My favorite place on campus: My favorite place on campus has to be the Center for Athletics and Wellness. From shooting hoops on the court, to lifting in the weight room, to swimming in the new pool, countless hours can be spent in there. Just make sure that you can tear yourself away to get your school work done!
You’d never guess: I flew in an airplane for the first time in March of 2013!
My best advice: Do your research when picking a major. Think about life a few years out of college. Will your work feel like work? Take the time to visit a campus and meet with faculty members from the department in which you are interested. Talk to them about career opportunities. Also, take advantage of College for a Day events! Then you can see what college is really all about!
