Sr. Angela Kim is representing Marywood University at the annual “International Week” conference hosted by Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu in Romania. During the conference, she presented “International Perspectives on Social Work Education, Practice & Curriculum Development” and connected with students and faculty from around the world through discussions on social work education and global collaboration.
Students explored the rich history of professional basketball in Northeastern Pennsylvania through a local history project focused on sports as social change. Their research uncovered the Scranton roots of the Eastern Professional Basketball League, a groundbreaking organization that helped shape today’s NBA G League while leading the way in racial integration and basketball innovation.
