Announcing Executive Board Members for Alumni Association

Marywood University is announcing the executive committee for the Alumni Association. The positions on this committee require three-year commitments. The president is elected by the association itself, and the rest of the committee members are appointed to positions. 

Scott Weiland ‘10, Ph.D., South Abington Township, Pa., will serve as the President of the Marywood Alumni Association. Dr. Weiland earned his doctoral degree from Marywood University; a master of science from Kutztown University; and a bachelor of arts degree from King’s College, where he currently serves as the chair of their Mass Communications department. 

Stephen Stahl ‘07, Selinsgrove, Pa., was appointed first vice president. Stahl earned his bachelor of arts degree from Marywood University, and his master of science degree from Utica College. He is currently employed by the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General. 

Leigh Farrar-Freeman ‘09, Ph.D., Hummelstown, Pa., earned her doctoral degree from Marywood University, and both her master of engineering and bachelor of arts degrees from Temple University. Dr. Farrar-Freeman serves as a career counselor at the Milton Hershey School. Dr. Farrar-Freeman was appointed as the second vice president. 

Bernice Lukus ‘71, Vandling, Pa., earned her bachelor of arts and master of science degrees from Marywood University.  She has a background in education and has served at Marywood University, Penn State University, and other surrounding institutions in the area. Ms. Lukus was appointed as the secretary for the alumni association.
