Handshake Helps Alumni to Get Jobs and Give Back
Marywood’s Career Development Center recently partnered with Handshake, a job search platform, to bring internship and employment opportunities to students and alumni. College career centers use Handshake to connect students with internships and job applicants with employers. Like all of the Career Development Center’s resources, this latest job connection tool is available to alumni as well as current students.
Handshake provides something else for alumni: a chance to give back. Through Handshake’s alumni-student mentoring service, students can contact interested alumni with hands-on experience in their fields. Alumni, in turn, can pass on needed guidance as students prepare for their careers.
Current students and alumni are welcome to contact the Career Development Center, Learning Commons Room 342, for more information about Handshake and other resources. Go to marywood.edu/career, email career@marywood.edu, or call 570-348-6247.
