First Presidential Mission Medal Awarded
The University recently honored Ann R. Henry, Ph.D. ’73, former chair of the Board of Trustees, with the University’s first Presidential Mission Medal for service and commitment to Marywood’s values of Catholic identity, respect, empowerment, and excellence.
The newly established Presidential Mission Medal was presented for the first time at the recent Presidential Society Dinner. Dr. Henry has demonstrated extraordinary commitment to the mission of Marywood University by giving generously of her time, energy, talents, and personal resources to the advancement of the University.
Sister Mary Persico, HIM, Ed.D., president of the University, said, “I am delighted and honored to name Ann R. Henry, Ph.D., the first recipient of the Presidential Mission Medal. In the name of our campus community, I thank Ann for her tireless efforts to support Marywood now and long into the future.”
