Wendy Guzenski’s impressive educational and professional background makes her the best fit for the program director for the Respiratory Therapy Program at Marywood. Guzenski attained her associate of applied sciences degree in respiratory therapy from Luzerne County Community College in 2013. She later attained her BSN from Misericordia University in 2020 and is currently pursuing her MSN in Family Nurse Practitioner at the same institution. Guzenski has been working in the healthcare industry since 2013, when she took her first job as a respiratory therapist at Moses Taylor Hospital. Since that time, she has been affiliated with hospitals and care facilities throughout Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, including Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and Aveanna Healthcare. She held an adjunct position on Luzerne County Community College’s staff for 5 years and has been with Marywood since 2021. In that time she has served as the director of clinical education in respiratory therapy and the acting program director for the respiratory therapy program before officially stepping into the role she presently holds. Outside of the classroom, Guzenski is an active part of her community, holding active membership on two triathlon committees and has been a member of the Ryan’s Run team raising money for Allied Services and completing the New York City Marathon in 2014 and 2015.
