Michelle L. Ostroski, EdD, LSW, an alumna of the MSW program at Marywood University, serves as an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) for the School of Social Work. With an unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of others and an understanding of the power and impact of community to be a catalyst for positive change, Dr. Ostroski's path to becoming a licensed social worker was marked by a strong dedication to education and practice.

Dr. Ostroski has worked in diverse settings, including local community non-profit organizations, medical education training programs, and both inpatient and outpatient healthcare facilities, enabling her to connect with people from all walks of life. She currently works in a group therapy practice, providing care in a rural community to close the gap of mental health disparities experienced within rural populations. Dr. Ostroski is a fellow with the Aspen Institute, through te NEPA Workforce Leadership Academy, working collaboratively with local leaders in identifying system-based challenges and creating shared solutions for economic opportunity. She received her Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Temple University and her Doctor of Education, Healthcare Education and Leadership from Nebraska Methodist College. Dr. Ostroski is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
