Booking an Event at Marywood University

Whether you’re a student organization planning a campus program, a faculty or staff member coordinating an academic event, or a community partner seeking to host a gathering, Marywood University offers welcoming spaces and professional support to help bring your vision to life.

Marywood Employee Quicklinks

Choose from a variety of room sizes, configurations, and set-ups based on your needs. Marywood has facilities for groups ranging from 5 to 1,100. All rooms are conveniently located on our pristine campus and offer the latest modern amenities for you and your participants. Indoor and outdoor athletics facilities also are available.

Sette La Verghetta Theatre

The Sette La Verghetta Theatre comfortably seats an audience of up to 1,100. This beautiful theatre can accomodate all of your technical and production needs. The performance space contains a proscenium stage, orchestra pit, dressing rooms, box offices, control room, backstage area, and the ability to fly scenery. Other features include sound and lighting boards, a 9-foot Steinway grand piano, a 7-foot Steinway grand piano (on stage), a Mason & Hamlin grand piano (orchestra pit), and large Allen electronic organ.

Swartz Center: Conferences & Events

The Swartz Center for Spiritual Life, which houses our Conference and Event Services division, can accomodate various functions, with meeting rooms that seat 5 to 100 people. The large meeting rooms have breakout room availability and are equipped with the latest technology and dining options. The Swartz Center's spacious lobby can be used for receptions and public exhibits. Additionally, it is home to the beautiful Marian Chapel, an ideal indoor setting for smaller-scale recitals/concerts and spiritual events. The Chapel features two-story stained glass doors that can be opened for special outdoor liturgical celebrations.

Nazareth Hall Latour Room

The Latour Room is a large, open multipurpose room with modern media capabilities. The space can accomodate up to 500 people and can be custom set to meet your needs.

Center for Athletics and Wellness

The Center for Athletics and Wellness includes a 5,000 square-foot fitness center; a rock-climbing wall; the 1,500-seat Insalaco Arena with an elevated running track; two classrooms for Health and Physical Education; a Dance/Aerobic Studio; a Hall of Fame/Conference Room; and training rooms and labs, as well as eight locker rooms. The Aquatics Center features an 8-Lane, NCAA Regulation Pool; a 3-Meter Diving Board; two 1-Meter Diving Boards; competition gutters; raised platform and bleacher seating; 200 spectator seats; a safety center office, and team locker rooms. Outdoor athletic facilities include two multipurpose athletic fields, tennis courts, a running course, a sand volleyball court, basketball courts, a horseshoe pit, and a soccer field.

Marywood University's Dining Services can meet all of your dining needs through a wide selection of breaks, buffets, and served meals.

You can choose to employ our catering services to "eat in" or make use of Marywood's food-court style Main Dining Room. In either case, guests will enjoy a variety of high-quality food and excellent service provided by our dining staff.

Marywood University has a variety of attractive residence facilities available for conference guests, each with their own unique style. All facilities have air-conditioning, wireless internet, TV lounges, laundry, and vending facilities.

Carnegie Hall Concert: New England Symphonic Ensemble

On Saturday, May 9, 2026, Dr. Rick Hoffenberg will make his Carnegie Hall conducting debut in a performance of Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, a three-movement piece for vocal soloists, chorus, and orchestra. The performers will include the all-professional New England Symphonic Ensemble and a chorus of over one hundred singers, including three Marywood faculty members and twenty current and former Marywood students. The concert is being sponsored by MidAmerica Productions.
