Current Student Veterans
Marywood provides support for accessing and using educational benefits, the transition from service to academics, and help students maximize both their military experience and education at Marywood when entering the civilian workforce. Additionally, the office offers assistance with accessing campus resources, hosts Veteran and service-related events, and the Division of the Student Experience to meet the needs of every student who enters our doors.
Resources for Student Veterans
Warrior Strong
Warrior Strong offers free yoga lessons for veterans and their dependents. They hold classes in downtown Scranton twice a month and are currently working to expand their operations in order to provide a multitude of services specially designed for the adaptive athlete.
Equines for Freedom
Equines for Freedom is a non-profit organization that offers free PTSD therapy that utilizes EMDR and therapy horses to help alleviate the symptoms of PTSD. They do not report to the VA and the therapy sessions are offered on
