Scranton MSW Program at Marywood University

Standard Full-time Plan

This program includes two academic years of study (18 months, exclusive of summers) and completion of 60 credit hours. Students ordinarily spend two consecutive days a week, Thursday and Friday, taking classroom courses and 16 hours a week in social work agencies or settings. Twelve credits are earned in Field Education and 48 in classroom courses. Field Education placements can usually be developed for students in the region in which they live.

Saturday Part-time Plan

The Saturday Plan on the Scranton Campus enables students to take two classroom courses (6 credits) on Saturday in the fall and spring semesters and one or two (3 or 6 credits) on Saturdays in summer sessions. Field Education requirements are carried out concurrently with required classroom courses in the second and/or the final years.
