Held during Founders' Week every November, this campus program aims to raise awareness about these issues through activities such as a Hunger Walk, Hunger Banquet, Sleepout for the Homeless, and a variety of service in our local community.

Sleep Out for the Homeless

Experience one night of homelessness with other Marywood students who come together and sleep out either on campus or downtown at Lackawanna County Courthouse. Sleepout is generally scheduled in November (during Hunger & Homelessness Week) and / or March and runs from 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM. The night includes a speaker, reflection and group activities that help raise awareness about homelessness. This lived experience will open your eyes to the challenges of being homeless.
