Hunger and Homelessness Awareness

Did you know...

- 36.3 million people - including 13 million children - live in households that experience hunger or the risk of hunger?
- 3.5% of U.S. households experience hunger?
- 3 billion people in the world earn less than $2 a day?
- Over 8 million children in the U.S. had no health insurance in the year 2000?

How can we help?

Each year in November (during Founder's Week), Campus Ministry hosts Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week. Activities throughout the week include:
- Food collections
- Ugly Quilt sessions
- Weighing of the waste at meals in the Main Dining Room
- Hunger Banquet
- Sleepout for the Homeless
- and more!

The first step to making a difference is to be aware.
