The staff of the PSC consist of a half time director, a half time assistant director, a full time secretary, the graduate students who provide clinical and educational services and the licensed Psychology and Counseling faculty who supervise the graduate students. Listed below are the leadership staff of the PSC.
Dr. Palmiter is the Director of the PSC and an Associate
Professor in the Psychology and Counseling Department.
Besides overseeing clinic operations, Dr. Palmiter teaches
graduate courses in cognitive therapy, psychological
testing, human development, child psychopathology and
applied practicum. Dr. Palmiters area of
specialization is in child and adolescent clinical
psychology; he has a particular interest in Attention
Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. Ms. Flaherty is the PSCs Secretary. She has been at
Marywood University since 1972. Ms. Flaherty brings a wealth
of experience at Marywood to her position at the PSC. She
has previously enjoyed successful employment in the
following university offices and departments: Graduate
Psychology, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and
Communication Sciences and Disorders. Having previously completed a B.S. in Clinical Psychology
at Marywood, Ms. Shelesky is a full time student in the
Masters in Psychology program. She has experience working as
a therapist at a local community mental health center. Her
areas of research interest are in stress and coping with
children and adults. Ms. Shelesky plans to enter a doctoral
clinical psychology program in the Fall.
