Marywood University has been notified that its website is among the most popular sites on the Internet. The website was ranked in the top 16 percent of Internet sites by Ranking.com, formally TrafficRanking.com

Following a two-year study, using market research software, Ranking.com, has determined that marywood.edu is the 113,464th most visited site on the Internet out of 720,000 sites. The study findings were compiled from information that enabled Ranking.com to view what sites were the most visited over 25,000 Internet users. Ranking.Com is an independent market research site that analyzes the number of people who visit Internet web sites.

Sister Kathleen Burns, I.H.M., Marywood University Webmaster, said, " Our website is the product of many hands. We use a 'page master' model where people throughout the university contribute to its content." She added, "The success of our website is a tribute to this collaboration."

The Marywood University website went on line in March 1995.
