MARYWOOD UNIVERSITY HONORS FACULTY, STAFF AND RETIREES FOR YEARS OF SERVICE SCRANTON, PA-May 5, 2008. Marywood University held services honoring their full-time faculty, administrators, staff and retirees to commemorate years of service milestones. Full-time faculty and administrators who have completed
20 years of service to the University were awarded the Cor
Mariae-Pro Fide et Cultura medal. Honors were also extended
to retirees, and full-time faculty and administrators
celebrating milestones of 25, 30 and 35 years of service.
This year's recipients of the Cor Mariae medal include: Sister Maria Rose Kelly, IHM, assistant professor of religious studies and Act 101 counselor, and Carol Tome, assistant professor of library services. The Sister Theresa Maxis, I.H.M. Service Award is given to professional personnel and hourly employees who have achieved 20 years of full-time service to the University. Those honored for 20 years of service include: Mr. Thomas M. Hull, receiving/shipping agent in the university book store; Sister Maria Rose Kelly, IHM, assistant professor of religious studies and Act 101 counselor; Ms. N. Kay McClintock, coordinator of computer training and user support; Ms. Kathleen M. Verrastro, administrative assistant in library services; and Mr. Joseph Michael Vladika, physical plant staff. Additionally, four retirees were honored. They include: Ms. Rosemary Baldi, director of professional education field experience; Mary Margaret McAndrew, administrative assistant in the educational field experience; Diana Picchini, director of advancement services; Mary Kay Georgia, advancement data management coordinator.
