MARYWOOD UNIVERSITY BUSINESS PROFESSOR RELEASES BOOK ON GLOBAL DEALMAKING

SCRANTON, PA-February 25, 2008.

Dr. Sam P. Dagher, Professor of Strategic Management & Entrepreneurship at Marywood University, began the new year with the release of his latest book, Strategic Acquisition, Divestment, and LBO: Global Dealmaking.

Strategic Acquisition, Divestment, and LBO: Global Dealmaking covers the theory and practice of corporate acquisitions, divestments, and leverage buyouts, concepts that Dr. Dagher maintains should be understood by chief executive officers, chief financial officers, financial mangers, corporate attorneys, senior business majors and MBA students. He teaches a graduate MBA course, "Corporate Acquisition and Divestment," at Marywood University, in which graduate students review and analyze cases in mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and leverage buyouts (LBOs). Dr. Dagher's unique course, which he personally designed, is the only one of its kind in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

"In a world of competition, alternative strategies and emerging economies, there are communities that are being structured, while others are dismantled, due to top management decisions. On a daily basis, the news updates the public on the changes among companies large and small," Dr. Dagher comments.

Nationally renowned executive recruiter Gerard R. Roche, a senior chairman of the top executive search firm, Heidrick and Struggle, who recently spoke at Marywood University, wrote the foreword to the book. "I believe it is about the best I've seen on this very complex subject," said Mr. Roche.

Strategic Acquisition, Divestment, and LBO: Global Dealmaking was published by BookSurge Publishing, an Amazon.com company. It is currently available on Amazon.com, Borders.com, Target.com, ecampus.com, and abebooks.com or by special ordering from any national book retailer.
