Bequests
Remembering Marywood in your will is simple and can be a creative way to dispose of the remainder of your estate after you have taken care of your family. You can bequeath to the University a fixed amount, a percentage of your estate or a remainder, as mentioned before. The language used need not be elaborate. For example -- "To Marywood University, I leave the sum of $40,000 to be used at the discretion of the University." If you wish to make your gift irrevocable, you may use a Deferred Pledge Agreement which will insure that your gift will flow to Marywood before your will is probated.

Of course, any bequest to Marywood will reduce the size of your taxable estate and can reduce the estate taxes that may be due.
