Built on the firm foundation of the generosity of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Marywood University has a long tradition of benefiting from the philanthropy of its alumni, parent's and friends. Gifts from these groups, have allowed Marywood to take its place among Americas premier institutions of higher learning. The University's heartfelt thanks goes out to all of its benefactors. Some recent examples: The Maslow Collection The Maslow Collection, which will now be housed here at Marywood University, has been exhibited all over the world, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and museums throughout Europe. To have a collection of this magnitude available to our students, faculty, staff, and visitors is an extraordinary opportunity. More The Robert J. Mellow Center for Athletics and Wellness The new Mellow Center has already transformed campus life. When students returned, it immediately became a hub of activity. Recreational features include the 1,500-seat Insalaco Arena with an elevated jogging track: the 5,000-square foot Lynett-Haggerty Family Fitness Center with state-of-the-art fitness machines and a rock climbing wall; a dance aerobic studio; multiple locker rooms; athletic training facilities; and much more. More The Swartz Center for Spiritual Life and The Marian Chapel The creation of the Marian Chapel bears witness and brings a sense of completeness to the I.H.M. mission of higher education. It returns to Marywood the heritage of the chapel in the Motherhouse that was lost to a fire in 1971. More Scholarships Each year the University invites scholarship benefactors to meet the students they support. View photos from the 2007 Scholarship Dinner memorable event.
