CORPORATE AND FOUNDATION RELATIONS We are more than happy to assist you at any point in this process. Grant Proposal Development Process 1. Preliminary Discussion Faculty Members: Discuss your idea with your department chair and dean. Once you have received their feedback, schedule an appointment with Maria Edwards (montoro@marywood.edu), Director of Sponsored Projects. All Others: Discuss your idea with your supervisor, and schedule an appointment with Renée Zehel (rzehel@marywood.edu), Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations. Be prepared to discuss:
We will then assist you in identifying funding sources. 2. Preliminary Clearance: We will formally present a brief summary of your idea to the chair of your department and the dean of your college (applies only to faculty members). 3. Proposal Clearance: We will bring your idea to the Proposal Clearing Council to ensure that all projects are aligned with Academic Plans, Strategic Goals, and Marywood's mission. The Proposal Clearing Council consists of: the President; Vice President for Academic Affairs; Vice President for University Advancement; Assistant Vice President for Development; Assistant to the Vice President for Academic Affairs for Research and Community Collaboration; Director of Corporate/Foundation Relations; and Director of Sponsored Projects. 4. Write Proposal According to Grant Guidelines. 5. Submit Proposal to our Office. We will help edit your proposal and work on the budget. We will then secure final administrative approval, obtain the necessary signatures and documentation, and submit the final copy of the proposal to the funder.
